Importing Citations in to Word

Zotero allows you to import citations and bibliographic information directly in to your Word document. (See installing the Word plug in). 

The plugin will appear in the newly created Zotero tab of MS Word. To add a citation to your paper click the Add/Edit Citation button. 

The first time you try to import a citation in to Word it will ask you to setup your document preferences. To make things simple select your preferred citation style then click OK. 

Use keyword/author searching to find the article you're looking for. A list of matching citations will pop-up below the search box. Select the appropriate citation. 

Zotero will insert the appropriate citation.

Creating Your Bibliography

Creating a bibliography in Zotero is easy. Once you've inserted a citation in to your paper Zotero will keep a running tally of the resources you've used. You can insert the bibliography at any time. If you add more citations Zotero will automatically update your bibliography. To insert the bibliography simply click the Insert Bibliography button in the plugin menu.
