African Union (AU)
A continental body consisting of the 55 member states that make up the countries of the African Continent. It was officially launched in 2002 as a successor to the Organization of African Unity (OAU, 1963-1999).
Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) by the Founding Fathers of ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
European Union (EU)
Founded on human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law, and human rights, every action taken by the EU is founded on treaties that have been approved voluntarily and democratically by all EU member countries.
Group of Twenty (G20)
A strategic multilateral platform connecting the world’s major developed and emerging economies. The G20 holds a strategic role in securing future global economic growth and prosperity. Together, the G20 members represent more than 80 percent of world GDP, 75 percent of international trade and 60 percent of the world population.
International Criminal Court (ICC)

International Monetary Fund (IMF)

The Organization has a proud 70-year history that includes catalysing monumental accomplishments – such as the eradication of smallpox or the rapid scale-up of treatment against HIV infection – that serve as the foundation of the world we live in today.
World Trade Organization (WTO)
The only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to ensure that trade flows as smoothly, predictably and freely as possible.
