AtoZ Maps Online This link opens in a new window AtoZ Maps Online, from World Trade Press, is a comprehensive database of over 145,000 world, continent, country, and state maps. Included are political maps, physical maps, outline maps, population maps, precipitation maps, climate maps, and other thematic maps. New maps are added to the collection monthly.
Contemporary Women's Issues This link opens in a new window Provides full text access to articles, “gray” literature and alternative publications on women and women’s issues from over 190 countries. Includes publications in journals and newsletters, research reports from non-profit groups, and government and international agencies.

New York Times Online This link opens in a new window Access the New York Times starting with the first issue in 1851 through the latest news of today.  Database Guide

Points of View Reference Center This link opens in a new window Points of View Reference Center is a full-text database that provides 200 topics, each with an overview, point, and counterpoint.It contains a balance of materials from all viewpoints, including 600 main essays, leading political magazines from both sides of the aisle, newspapers, radio & TV news transcripts, primary source documents and reference books.

PsycINFO This link opens in a new window PsycINFO contains more than three million citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters, books, dissertations and technical reports, all in the field of psychology. Journal coverage, which spans from 1887 to present, includes international material selected from more than 2,500 periodicals in over 35 languages. It also includes information about the psychological aspects of related disciplines such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, anthropology, business and law.
SocINDEX with Full Text This link opens in a new window SocINDEX with Full Text is a comprehensive research database covering sociology as well as related areas: It provides full text for some 890 journals dating back to 1908, as well as full text for over 850 books and monographs and over 16,800 conference papers. Indexing is provided for more than 4,000 journals, with abstracts for over 1,300 "core" journals dating back to 1895.
SPORTDiscus with Full Text This link opens in a new window SPORTDiscus with Full Text is a comprehensive source of full-text journals in the fields of sports and sports medicine. Over 550 full-text journals are included, with coverage dating back to 1985.

Off-Campus Access

Remote (off campus) access to the FDU databases is available only to FDU students, faculty, and staff.

To access a database from off campus, select it from the library's A-Z Databases List. You will be prompted for your FDU NET ID and password. Upon verification you will be given access to the database.
