Advanced Search: Another way to search Ovid is by using their Advanced Search feature. The following video shows the process of using Ovid's Advanced Search feature:
IMPORTANT: To only view content that FDU has access to after pressing search, be sure to select "Subscribed Content Only"

When searching using Advanced Search, select keywords that best represent your topic. For example, if your topic is "The intensity of abdominal pain in cancer patients," you can search "abdominal pain" and "cancer" to start. You can also select "Show full text available only" for only full access to articles rather than just abstracts, and "Show peer reviewed only" for only articles that have undergone the peer-review process
If you choose to view all content Ovid has rather than only subscribed content, you can request those resources via Interlibrary Loan. The article will have a "Document Delivery" option to request an Interlibrary Loan
Helpful Tips:
When you click into a result, you can look at the "Subjects" section to see what subject headings are being used. If you click the topic that matches best, you will be able to browse additional articles on that subject
Many articles provide citations in multiple formats
Creating an account is a great idea to create folders to hold articles you may want to refer to again. You can also set alerts for when new articles are released on these topics as well!
