New Jersey Hard Copy Legal Research Resources

The New Jersey Statutes Annotated contain the actual laws of New Jersey. The legislation is indexed by subject and references the legal cases that cite the particular statutes.

   

The New Jersey Practice Series is a practical "how to" guide for the general practitioner to everyday legal transactions, proceedings, and actions.

West's New Jersey Digest uses the Key Number System as well as an index of topics to find New Jersey state and federal reported court decisions. The topics are listed in alphabetical order, and the Key Numbers within those topics are listed in numerical order. 

New Jersey Superior Court Reports is a state case law reporter series that covers all published opinions and decisions issued by the New Jersey Superior Court. 

New Jersey Reports is a state case law reporter series that covers all published opinions and decisions issued by the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Federal Hard Copy Legal Research Resources

West's Federal Digest uses the Key Number System as well as an index of topics to find federal reported district and circuit court decisions. The topics are listed in alphabetical order, and the Key Numbers within those topics are listed in numerical order. The United States Supreme Court has its own dedicated digest and various case reporters. 

The Federal Supplement was created as a reporter of trial-level decisions by the federal district courts.

The Federal Reporter is a series of compilations of cases and decisions issued by the United States Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Federal Claims. The United States Supreme Court has its own reporter series.
